Miami Valley communities see first snow of the season

Some areas of the Miami Valley are seeing the first snowfall of the season as a mixture of rain and snow works through the area.

Residents in parts of Springfield, Beavercreek, Belmont and Kettering report snow flurries and a light dusting of snow on cars and houses.

Our crew in Beavercreek reports strong flurries can be seen on Dayton Xenia Road in Beavercreek Saturday morning.

Light showers or a wintry mix will be possible early today, according to Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Josh Poland. Poland said clouds will linger with chilly temperatures and a chance for a sprinkle in the afternoon.

Highs will stay in the middle 40s with lows falling into the low 30s tonight.
