Zampese not waiting for Eifert to ride in and fix red-zone woes

Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Ken Zampese said he “can’t wait” for Tyler Eifert to come back but added he won’t wait for that to happen to get the team’s red-zone woes fixed.

"I want him in there healthy and as we know him," Zampese said. "If he doesn't come back right away we are going to get better regardless. These will be the same guys doing it over and over again. We'll be better with the group we have. And when we get him back in the mix, he'll add whatever he ends up adding to us."

The Bengals have scored just four touchdowns in 13 red-zone trips, and that touchdown percentage of 30.8 ranks last in the NFL.
