The regular season is winding down. Every team in your league is tied for first place. And for last place. At the same time.

It may sound strange, but that’s the situation in the Greater Catholic League Coed Central Division in girls basketball.

Badin (11-4), McNicholas (10-6), Purcell Marian (10-5) and Roger Bacon (11-5) are all 3-3 in league play. All have four GCLC games remaining, three against each other and one against the GCLC North in a crossover.

The crossover games are road affairs for the Central squads Saturday: Badin vs. Alter, McNick vs. Chaminade Julienne, Purcell vs. Carroll and Bacon vs. Fenwick.

The remaining head-to-head matchups are as follows:

Wednesday, Jan. 31 — Badin at McNick, Bacon at Purcell

Saturday, Feb. 3 — Purcell at Badin, McNick at Bacon

Wednesday, Feb. 7 — Bacon at Badin, Purcell at McNick
