Miley retired the first 16 batters of the game. His perfect game bid ended in the sixth when Amed Rosario reached on a Nick Senzel error. Miley also walked a batter in the inning.

“What an incredible performance,” Reds manager David Bell said.

The Reds pushed across three runs in the ninth to break a scoreless deadlock and set up the bottom of the ninth for Miley.

The last Reds no-hitter came on July 2, 2013, by Homer Bailey, who also pitched one during the the 2012 season.

Miley’s no-hitter is the fourth this season in the major leagues. The Indians also were no-hit this season (April 14) by White Sox left-hander Carlos Rodon.
