HS Results 12/4: Stivers, Ellis continue hot start

Trevon Ellis hit a floater in the lane with two seconds to play to give Stivers a 44-42 win versus Miami Valley in a Monday boys basketball game.

Ellis finished with 16 points to lead Stivers, which improved to 3-0.

Marc Williams had 16 for Miami Valley.

Boys Basketball

Emmanuel Christian 56, Northeastern 44: Fred Shropshire turned in 21 points with eight rebounds and Adonis Davis added 12 points with 10 rebounds for EC. Aaron Lockwood led NE with 16 points.

Girls Basketball

Centerville 75, Ponitz 27: Jasmine Broner scored 14 points, Alexis Hutchison 11 and Sam Chable 10 for Centerville. Leah Ruffin paced Ponitz with 12.

Lebanon 61, Anderson 18: Alexis Straw led Lebanon with 19 points, including five three-point shots.

Carroll 40, Miamisburg 36: Julia Keller finished with 11 points and 18 rebounds for Carroll. Kirah Pringle put up 11 points in a losing effort for ‘Burg.

Tecumseh 61, Fairborn 28: Corinne Thomas tallied 21 points, Presley Griffitts 18 and Macy Berner 14 to lead Tecumseh. Evelyn Oktavec had 10 for Fairborn.

Valley View 82, Stivers 34: Hunter Stidham poured in 28 points and Chloe Smith added 19 to help Valley View move to 4-0. Emily Fletcher led Stivers with 19.

Milton Union 35, Brookville 20: Kristen Dickison put up 12 points and Beyonce Bobbitt hauled in 12 rebounds for MU.

Triad 56, Riverside 41: Alea Ferguson tallied 16 points, Cati LeVan added 15 and Emma Vanninem tacked on 13 for Triad.

West Liberty-Salem 62, Miami East 55, OT: Kelsey Day recorded 21 points and Gabby Hollar tacked on 12 as WLS pulled away for the overtime win. Haley Howard had 14 for East.

Franklin Monroe 50, Dixie 23: Corina Conley paced FM with 16 points. Mckinlee Ruppert had 17 for Dixie.

Covington 50, Bradford 21: Samantha Whiteman carried Covington with 14 points. Emma Canan paced Bradford with 10.

Russia 38, Newton 35: Laurissa Poling put up 17 for Russia. Tatum McBride had 18 to lead Newton.
