Former Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Joe Burrow will transfer to LSU.
He made the announcement late Friday night on Twitter. The Cincinnati Enquirer was first to report Burrow opted for LSU.

Burrow was considering Cincinnati and LSU, according to reports. He announced May 8 he was leaving Ohio State after three seasons.

“After weeks of struggling with this decision, I have decided to leave Ohio State and explore other options,” Burrow wrote on Twitter. “My teammates and coaches all know the love I feel for them. I will decide where I will play next year in the coming weeks.”
Burrow competed throughout the spring with redshirt freshman Dwayne Haskins and freshman Tate Martell. Urban Meyer did not announce a starter after the spring game in April.
Burrow, an Athens High School graduate, redshirted as a freshman in 2015. He appeared in five games in 2016 and five games in 2017. In those games, he completed 29 of 39 passes for 287 yards with two touchdowns. A hand injury slowed him down early last season, and that was one reason Haskins was the second-string quarterback behind J.T. Barrett.
