The Cincinnati Reds will help fans stay cool during a hot weekend at Great American Ball Park. With temperatures expected to rise into the high 90s, they offer the following recommendations for fans planning to attend games against the St. Louis Cardinals. The four-game series starts Thursday.

» ROSTER MOVES: Reds call up catcher

• Fans can bring unopened plastic bottles of water and sports drinks into the ballpark. As always, soft-sided coolers smaller than 16x16x8 will be permitted.

» What you need to know about heat exhaustion, heat stroke

• Fans to take a break from the heat in “cool rooms” throughout the stadium. Reds staff members will escort fans to the rooms. The game will be on TVs in the rooms.

• Fans can cool down under water misting stations located near sections 106, 129, 131, 416, 427 and under the PNC Power Stacks in center field.

» TRADE DEADLINE: Reds hope to be buyers not sellers

• Fans can also escape the heat in the Reds Hall of Fame & Museum and Reds Team Shops.

• TriHealth will offer free sunscreen lotion at first-aid stations near sections 110, 125 and 411.
