Fractured hand to sideline Kirkpatrick for a couple of weeks

Cincinnati Bengals starting cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick was a surprise spectator for the start of OTAs due to a fractured right hand.

Kirkpatrick declined to say how he hurt his hand, only that it was a “freak accident” that recently occurred off the field.

He said he expects to return to practice within a couple of weeks.

Tuesday marked the first of 10 OTA practices for the Bengals. The OTAs run through June 8, with the mandatory minicamp to follow June 13-15.
