Corey Tindal re-signs with Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals added Corey Tindal to their roster one day after first-round pick William Jackson III suffered a pectoral injury.

Tindal and Jackson are both cornerbacks. Tindal was with the Bengals from May 8 until being waived July 20.

Signing Tindal gives the team nine cornerbacks on its preseason roster.

A week before he was cut, Tindal reportedly was the victim of a robbery in Huntington, W. Va., where he played his college ball at Marshall.

A 5-9, 187-pound defensive back, Tindal is originally from Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
