Cincinnati Reds not the only team honoring Pete Rose this summer

Pete Rose is set to be honored by the Philadelphia Phillies later this summer.

The club announced this week the Cincinnati native and Reds great will be added to the club’s Wall of Fame on Aug. 12 when the Phillies host the New York Mets.

He spent five seasons in Philadelphia before returning to the Reds to end his career.

Major League Baseball's all-time hits leader, Rose has already been inducted into the Reds Hall of Fame.

The Reds plan to unveil a Rose statue at Great American Ball Park on June 17.
