Linebacker named defensive player of the week

The Big Ten named Ohio State Buckeyes linebacker defensive player of the week on Tuesday. He led the Buckeyes with a career-high 16 tackles Saturday in a 30-27 double-overtime victory over Michigan at Ohio Stadium.

McMillan had a half tackle for a loss, a quarterback hurry and a pass deflection. He pressured quarterback Wilton Speight into an interception that Malik Hooker returned for Ohio State’s first touchdown.
