A number of players tweeted their support and appreciation for the soccer team Tuesday night during and after the 3-2 overtime loss to the New York Red Bulls in the semifinals of the U.S. Open Cup.

“I enjoyed it a lot,” tight end Tyler Eifert said. “It’s something else to do here in Cincinnati, a team to get behind. It was a lot of fun, especially after the run they made, beating some really good teams. I’ve never benen in a city where they had soccer. It was fun to watch. A lot of guys follow it.”
