College Insider: Cincinnati Christian’s Kinkopf leads ONU scoring

Senior forward Matt Kinkopf is having another standout season for the Ohio Northern University men’s soccer team.

The Cincinnati Christian School graduate leads the Polar Bears in scoring with 23 points, totaling six goals and 11 assists.

ONU, 11-0-1 overall and 1-0 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, will host Otterbein on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Women's soccer: Junior forward Macy Hamblin (Fairfield) is tied for the Northern Kentucky scoring lead with 10 points on three goals and four assists.

Sophomore midfielder Samantha Duwel (McAuley) of Hamilton has scored one goal for the Norse, who are 7-5 overall and 3-1 in the Horizon League.

NKU will be at home against Youngstown State on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.

• Senior midfielder Lauren Rose (Lakota West) is the No. 2 scorer for Thomas More with three goals and four assists.

Junior midfielder Ally Wimmers (Lakota West), sophomore midfielder Jordan Wuest (Lakota West) and freshman midfielder Mariah Gilbert (Edgewood) have contributed off the bench for the Saints, who are 10-0-1 overall and 1-0 in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference.

Thomas More visits Waynesburg at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

Volleyball: Redshirt junior middle blocker Ali Lake (Lakota East) has 133 kills for Ohio, ranking second on the team.

Lake also has 21 total blocks and 19 digs for the Bobcats, who are 7-9 overall and 3-1 in the Mid-American Conference.

Ohio hosts Kent State on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Football: Redshirt sophomore wide receiver Matt Tunnacliffe (Fenwick) has four receptions for 55 yards for Dayton, which is 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the Pioneer Football League.

Tunnacliffe has added one solo tackle and three assists for the Flyers, who will host Morehead State on Saturday at 1 p.m.
