Bob Evans Turkey & Dressing dinner

Teachers, you can score a free turkey dinner starting Wednesday

Bob Evans Restaurants officials are calling their teacher-friendly promotion “Thanksgiving in August,” and say it’s a way to give thanks to some deserving members of the community.

Starting at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, Bob Evans Restaurants will give away 799 of its Turkey & Dressing Dinners to teachers in Ohio and other states where the restaurants are found through the launch of the  “799 Ways to Say Thank You” giveaway. From Wednesday through Friday, or until all 799 dinners are doled out, teachers can visit https://bobevans.wyng.com/799-thanks to claim their free Bob Evans Turkey & Dressing Dinner.

Dayton is included in this promotion, a Bob Evans Restaurants spokeswoman confirmed.

The first 799 teachers in each market to enter their information will receive an e-gift card to bring into their nearest Bob Evans restaurant. Teachers who enter after the 799 free dinners have been claimed will receive a 10% off coupon that is valid until Oct. 31, 2019.

“So often we wait until Thanksgiving to give thanks, but we believe our Turkey & Dressing Dinner is the perfect catalyst to give thanks any day of the year,” Bob Holtcamp, chief marketing officer for Bob Evans Restaurants, said in a release. “As the school year begins, we believe there’s no one more deserving of gratitude — and a home-cooked meal — than teachers.”

“The start of the school year is hectic. We want teachers to enjoy a warm, home-cooked meal for themselves and their families, leaving the cooking and cleanup to us.”

The dinner includes sliced turkey, mashed potatoes, herb dressing, baby carrots, cranberry relish and dinner rolls.
