There’s no question that Dayton has some incredible restaurants, chefs and dining experiences with more of them popping up every month.

That, coupled with the fact that Cincinnati and Columbus are a relatively short drive away rife with restaurant riches, means there is a high concentration of cool culinary experiences to cultivate both near and far.

Dayton is obviously easier to explore due to proximity. Cincinnati and Columbus are trickier, but there are some events held throughout the year that do a good job of introducing those who enjoy a good food and dining exploration to a grouping of worthy restaurants all at once.

Columbus Monthly Magazine's "Best New Restaurants" event held on Feb. 27 at Le Meridien Columbus featured the magazine's pick of their top 10 new Columbus restaurants.

If you missed the event, the list of 10 dining destinations is a good one to refer to the next time you are headed through the capital city. It’s a diverse grouping that offers a little bit for everyone and a list that ensures you will be on top of the latest things happening on plates in the capital.
