RUPP, Lindsey

RUPP (Lambert), Lindsey

A resident of Georgetown for over four decades, passed peacefully on Wednesday,

November 3, 2021, at Georgetown University Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Grant, Nebraska, Lindsey spent her teenage years in Dayton, Ohio. Lindsey then went on to The Ohio State University, where she served as captain of the drill team. Following graduation, Lindsey embarked on a

career in management and marketing roles at 3M. Lindsey furthered her education by attending George Washington University for her MBA. She then joined Conservation International, forming public-private relationships to preserve and protect the cornerstones of biodiversity in Central America, mainly Costa Rica, Panama, and Guatemala, while creating green economic development. Recently, Lindsey utilized her business experience and love for design to run the family real estate business.

While living in Georgetown, Lindsey caught the eye of her neighbor, Steven Rupp, who had begun to walk his dog by her townhouse with increasing frequency. Lindsey and Steven eventually married and welcomed their beloved sons, Dillon and Colton. A loving and supportive mother and dedicated volunteer, Lindsey served as president of the St. Patrick's

Parent's Association and as a room parent at the Landon School numerous times over the years. An avid sports fan, Lindsey never missed her sons' games and could always be found decked out in her teams' colors on the sidelines or in the rink. Lindsey cherished her role as a mother and supported her sons in all of their pursuits.

Lindsey embodied happiness and loved sharing her joyful outlook on life with her family and friends. Lindsey gave every task, large or small, the finest attention to detail. Lindsey's kindness, generosity, and selflessness to her friends and family will be long remembered. She had a gift for making life's moments special and memorable, from carefully planned occasions to spontaneous gatherings. Lindsey captured and shared these joyful memories through her passion for photography. She also loved organizing programs for the Garden Club of Chevy Chase and spending time on the Eastern Shore boating and golfing.

Lindsey was preceded in death by her husband Steven Rupp in 2014. She is survived by her sons Dillon of Washington, D.C. and Colton of New York, New York; siblings Charles Lambert, Michael Lambert, and Betty Sellers of Ohio; and her two

beloved dogs, Scooter and Gilly.

The family wishes to thank all those who remember her and mourn her passing and we are grateful to you for filling her life with so much joy.
