ROSKOS, Helen Katharine

Helen Katharine Roskos, age 86, of Huber Heights, passed away November 8, 2021. She was born August 8, 1935, in Octa, Ohio, to the late Lawrence and Mildred Smith. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, George J. "Skip" Roskos, Jr.; sister, Louvenia Sackett; and brother, Richard Smith. Helen is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Sheri and Mark Seelbaugh; grandchildren: Chris Seelbaugh (Brynnae), Aaron Seelbaugh, Kyle Seelbaugh and Lauren Seelbaugh; great-grandchildren: Judah and Eden Seelbaugh; brothers and sisters: Frances Brown (Jack), Carol Orthmyer (Bern), Maxine Vogl, Gary Smith, Jim Smith and Kenneth Smith (Missy); sister-in-law, Judy Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Helen retired from Ohio Bell after more than 30 years of service. Helen and her husband, Skip volunteered for many years with A Special Wish Foundation - Dayton, and were recipients of the Thomas D. Dovel Volunteer Award. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Vandalia, loved playing BINGO, was an Auxiliary member of the AmVets and VFW and was an avid Cincinnati Bengals and Ohio State fan. More than anything, Helen loved spending time with her grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:30 pm on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 1:30 pm. Burial to

follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. Helen's family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff at the Landings of Huber Heights and Day City Hospice for their loving care.
