Jones, Margaret Prugh Wilson "Maggie"
of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Maggie was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on September 11, 1928 to the late Jean Vernon Wilson and Margaret Hassler Prugh Wilson. She married the late Robert Joslyn Jones on May 21, 1960. She is survived by her daughters Beverly Anne Jones-DiSabatino of Old Bridge, New Jersey and Andrea Margaret Jones of Fayetteville, Arkansas, sons-in-law Louis George DiSabatino, Jr. and Steven Robert Probst, and grandsons Wilson Louis DiSabatino, Bennett Robert DiSabatino, Owen York Barnes DiSabatino, Wyatt Robert Probst and Lincoln Andrew Probst. Maggie is also survived by her sister Frances Hassler Wilson of Pittsburgh, brother Edwin Prugh Wilson of Golden, Colorado, sister-in-law Nancy Rosamond Jones Stevens of Providence, Rhode Island, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother J. Vernon Wilson, Jr., brothers-in-law Norman Francis Jones and George "Babe" Albert Jones, and sister-in-law Martha Jones Tourtellot. Maggie was a graduate of Ben Avon High School, earned her bachelor's degree in Art History from Goucher College, and completed studies in Mental Health Counseling at Sinclair Community College. She was an active member of Southminster Presbyterian Church for 50 years. Maggie found friends of every age, everywhere she went. Her generosity, optimism, curiosity, bright spirit, and smile lit up the lives of everyone she met. She gave us all roots and wings. We are blessed by her life. Services will be held at Southminster Presbyterian Church in Centerville on December 15. Visitation will be at 1:00 pm; memorial service at 2:00 pm; and reception at 3:00 pm. Private ceremony will be at David Road Cemetery in Kettering, Ohio. Donations in Maggie's honor may be made to the Pi Beta Phi of Dayton Alumni Club Scholarship fund, the Pi Beta Phi Friendship fund, or the P.E.O. Scholarship fund.
