Winter weather this weekend: What to expect in Butler County

The first significant winter weather event in Butler County is expected on Saturday.

Snow will be impacting the area from sunrise to sunset. Starting around 6 a.m., snow showers will wave into the county from the west with temperatures starting off in the upper 20s.

Steady snow showers will continue throughout the morning hours before heavier snow comes in the afternoon. Temperatures by noon will likely climb near 32 degrees, bringing a wet, heavy snow through Butler County.

The county can expect to see anywhere from 3-5 inches with locally higher amounts possible.

Snow showers will gradually lighten up on Saturday night with just a few lingering snow showers by Sunday morning.
