“Haz-mat crews identified the leak as hydrochloric acid. The spill was contained, for the most part, to the building,” Wilson said. “Some of the chemical did spill into the creek which is now being addressed by the EPA.”
The Fire Department has lifted the shelter-in-place order.
Crews will remain on scene for clean-up and Muhlhauser Road will remain closed for the next hour or so.
