The Butler County coroner’s office has identified the motorcyclist killed in Wednesday afternoon’s crash on Ohio 4 in Hamilton as Ronald S. Boyd, 59, of Hamilton.
The crash a couple blocks south of Ohio 129 happened when the motorcycle Boyd was riding southbound on Ohio 4 around 1 p.m. struck the back of an SUV that also was southbound. Boyd also collided with a southbound semi truck, police said.
The coroner’s office listed the preliminary cause of death following an autopsy as “multiple traumatic injuries.”
A countywide, multi-jurisdictional crash-reconstruction team was called in to investigate and the highway was closed in both directions during that work.
