Sinclair dedicates building to Warren County treasurer

Sinclair Community College dedicated one of its facilities to a former chairman of the school’s board of trustees who now serves as treasurer of Warren County.

Sinclair has renamed a building on its Courseview campus in Warren County for Bernard H. Wright Jr. Wright along with current board chairman Rob Connelly and state Sen. Steve Wilson attended a dedication ceremony on Tuesday.

The building was built in 2013 and provides classroom and lab space for 50 academic programs including biotechnology, business management, physical therapy and computer information systems, according to the school.

Wright served as in a leadership role for a pilot project early this century for a community college in Warren County.

He played a big role in the 2005 legislation that resulted in Sinclair becoming the community college to serve Warren County, according to the school.

Sinclair has a number of locations around the Dayton area and for months has been in talks to purchase Far Hills Church in Centerville. The church, which already has classroom and office space, could become a new learning center for the community college.
