White Bronco driven in O.J. Simpson’s 1994 police chase to be pawned

The white Bronco SUV that O.J. Simpson’s friend, Al Cowlings, drove during an infamous 1994 police chase will be featured on an upcoming episode of “Pawn Stars.”

According to USA TODAY Sports, the vehicle will appear on an Aug. 14 episode on the History channel.

"Not many people realize it's for sale," "Pawn Stars" personality Rick Harrison, told the New York Post. "I just thought it was a really cool thing to put on the show ... I figured I'd give it a shot."

Harrison said the Bronco is in “amazing shape.”

“I drove it around and it felt a little odd, but it runs great,” he told the Post.

Simpson's former agent, Mike Gilbert, currently owns the vehicle, thePost reported.

Simpson rode in the back seat of the 1993 Bronco while Cowlings drove during a 90-minute pursuit on the 405 Freeway in Los Angeles June 17, 1994. Police had visited Simpson's home that morning  with the belief that he would surrender himself. It was five days after Simpson's ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Rob Goldman had been found murdered. Simpson was found not guilty during a 1995 murder trial.

Simpson has been in headlines recently after the the 70-year-old was granted parole after serving nine years in a Nevada prison for participating in a 2007 armed robbery.

He is set to be released in October.
