Meet the rescue cat the internet has dubbed 'Baby Yoda'

A rescue cat with a striking resemblance to Baby Yoda from “The Mandalorian” is winning hearts across the internet.

A volunteer at the Humane Society of Rowan County found the cat, who was transported to Cabarrus Animal Hospital on Dec. 15 to be treated for a host of issues, including a deep neck wound, an upper respiratory infection, fleas and intestinal parasites, according to the Humane Society of Rowan County.

Nancy Rominger, a volunteer with the Humane Society of Rowan County, told Buzzfeed that the cat, who has been named Joy, is friendly and affectionate.

Joy has a long road to recovery and will not be available for adoption until her treatment is finished, the Humane Society said. In the meantime, Joy is receiving TLC at the foster home of a Cabarrus Animal Hospital employee.
