The letter then goes on to describe that Blake is nervous and doesn't want to talk to the other children at Safe Haven of Tarrant County, Texas, KSAT reported.
In addition to the normal gifts kids may ask for, Blake asked for one more thing -- a "very very very good dad," the letter said, according to shelter officials.
Officials at the shelter confirmed that the boy and his mother went to the shelter before Thanksgiving and that his mother found the letter in her son's backpack a few weeks ago, CBS News reported.
