A woman living at Parkview Arms Apartments in Oxford with her children told police she feared her residence was being “cased” for a possible burglary when an alleged pizza driver came to her door in the afternoon of March 21.

She said she was at home when someone came to her door supposedly to deliver a pizza but she had not ordered one, according to a police report.

Later, she found a car sign from the pizza company on the parking lot and went to the store to return it, thinking it had been left there by mistake.

The manager, however, said it was not their sign and all of their signs were accounted for.

The resident told the officer she feared the incident was a hoax to “case” the residence for a possible future burglary, according to the report.
