The deadline to file income taxes is Tuesday, and the city of Middletown is extending the hours of the city income tax office starting today.

The office will be open extra hours to help residents file their city income taxes by the April 17 deadline, according to Finance Director Jacob Burton.

Those hours are:

  • 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. today, April 13
  • 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 14
  • 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, April 16
  • 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 17

Burton said city income tax staff will help people file their city taxes for free during all hours they are open. Residents must bring their W-2’s and federal tax forms with them to file their city tax returns.

Residents can visit the Tax Office, call the Tax Department at 513-425-7862, email itax@cityofmiddletown.org, or go to the city's website.

The city did not mail tax forms this year. Instead, it mailed postcards to remind residents to file their taxes, according to city officials.
