Longtime lawyer was also amateur actor on stage, TV

William S. Friedman, who once worked with Ohio Governor James A. Rhodes before founding his own lawfirm, has died. He was 78.

Friedman was born in Springfield on March 19, 1941. After working with Rhodes, he founded the William S. Friedman Company, which became Friedman & Mirman Co., L.P.A., according to his obituary.

“Outside of the law, he was an amateur actor on stage and television. His larger than life personality brightened any stage or room he entered. Bill loved his music, cowboy movies, and dogs,” his obituary read.

A private burial was held in Dayton.
