A U.S. soldier and a dog she rescued while deployed in Iraq had an emotional reunion after being separated for seven months.
Video captured U.S. Army Reserve Sgt. Tracy McKithern reuniting with Erby, a dog she rescued and adopted while deployed in Iraq. Tampa International Airport shared the video to their Facebook account earlier this week.
McKithern said she fell in love with the dog immediately when she found her wandering around the base where she was stationed.
“I think the reason we’re born with two hands is so that we can pet two dogs at once.” 🐶❤️ Erby Kasima McKithern arrives in the U.S.... With the help from the non-profit Puppy Rescue mission and crowdfunding, McKithern raised enough money to bring Erby home with her, according to CBS affiliate WBTV.
