Streetlight updates Thursday may cause traffic delays in Hamilton

Lane closures along several roads Thursday could cause traffic delays. The curb lanes are being blocked as the city replaces current street lights with energy efficient LED bulbs.

These roads will be affected by lane closures Thursday, according to the city:

  • Main Street between Eaton and Cereal avenues
  • Carlisle Avenue between Stahlheber Road and Sunset Drive
  • Stahlheber Road between Main Street and NW Washington Boulevard
  • Symmes Road between Gilmore Road and Bilstein Boulevard
  • Standen Drive
  • Rowe Court

Curb lane closure will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to the city.

In addition to energy savings, LEDs provide a longer service life than traditional fixtures, according to the city, which reduces maintenance expenses and improves service.
