Recall: evol. egg burritos mislabeled as cilantro lime chicken

Culinary International LLC is recalling 626 pounds of egg burrito products mislabeled as chicken burrito products, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced Friday.

The frozen burrito products containing egg, a known allergen, were produced on Sept. 10, 2019:

6-ounce packages containing “evol. Cilantro Lime Chicken Burrito” with lot code B9253 J1 P6009 and best by March 3, 2021.

The products subject to recall have the establishment number “P-6009” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The burritos were shipped to retail locations nationwide.

The problem was discovered after FSIS and the Vernon, California, company received consumer complaints that the cilantro lime chicken burritos were actually egg burritos.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions from consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness is urged to contact a healthcare provider.

These items may be in consumers’ freezers. Those who have purchased them are urged to not consume them and instead return them to the store.

Consumers with questions about the recall can contact Conagra Consumer Care at 888-849-6243.
