A Xenia-based behavioral health group is opening a Kettering location to expand its mental health and substance abuse treatment services into Montgomery County.

TCN Behavioral Health, which has 13 locations in the region, plans to open an office at 3085 Woodman Drive on Sept. 11. The nonprofit cited the nearly 400 overdoses in Montgomery County as of May in a statement announcing its decision to open its first Montgomery County office.

“When you need help, TCN has the help you need, when you need it,” said CEO Lori Strobl in the statement.

TCN’s services include outpatient and residential substance use services, medication-assisted treatment services, psychiatric and outpatient mental health services, and services for clients with both mental health and substance use issues.

TCN Behavioral Health was founded in 1990, originally as The Community Network. It sees about 7,500 clients annually and has a staff of 16 psychiatrists and more than 180 employees.

In 2010, TCN opened the Family Solutions Center, which serves adolescent, youth, and families. It’s current facility was a $1.1 million investment also funded by the Mental Health and Recovery Board of Clark, Greene and Madison counties.
