UPDATE: 1 transported to area hospital by medical helicopter following accident

UPDATE: 4:11 p.m.:

A head-on collision between a car and pick-up truck saw one driver taken by a Care Flight medical helicopter to Miami Valley Hospital, said police dispatchers.

Police are still investigating the collision at 2315 Hamilton-Cleves Road and are still on the scene, said dispatchers.

There were two male drivers involved and no report of passengers.

The conditions of either driver was yet available, but earlier reports indicated one of the men was entrapped in a vehicle in a wooded area near the road and having difficulty breathing.

INTITAL REPORT:

A crash involving an entrapment and a victim having trouble breathing has emergency crews calling in a medical helicopter to assist.

The crash, according to Butler County Sheriff dispatchers, occurred before 2:30 p.m. at 2315 Hamilton-Cleves Road in St. Clair Twp. It was a single car into a wooded area.
