“Apparently he had been drinking there when people at the residence decided he owed them money,” said Maj. Scott Reeve.
The man said the people decided to hold him a the residence until the beginning of the month, when his Social Security check would be deposited, to get the money he allegedly owed.
When officers arrived at the residence about 3 p.m. after the man escaped, the other people at the house fled.
