Woman taken to hospital after Carlisle kitchen fire

UPDATE @ 4:45 p.m.

A woman was taken to Atrium Medical Center in Middletown after firefighters were called around 3:30 p.m. to a home in the 700 block of Beachler Road.

When firefighters arrived, there was smoke coming from the home, around the eaves.

The woman suffered possible smoke inhalation and had soot on her nose and mouth, crews said.

There were no other injuries, and the fire appeared to be contained to the kitchen area.

Carlisle Fire Chief Joel Holbrook said the cause of the fire is undetermined and remains under investigation.

A fire has reported at a house on Beachler Road this afternoon.

Firefighters on the scene reported smoke coming from the house in the 700 block of Beachler around 3:30 p.m.
