Kevondae Richard was in court on charges of assault, aggravated menacing and domestic violence when he spotted another person involved in the case.

In video News Center 7 obtained Thursday, the quickly escalating incident shows Dayton police and city Municipal Court officers trying to grab Richard. They were able to corral him, but apparently not before a female security officer was pushed or fell into a wall during the struggle.

She was checked out at a hospital and has since returned to work.

Richard was not listed as an inmate in the county jail Thursday night, according to online court records.

The new charges, if filed, could include assault, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
