Missing Dayton girl found safe

UPDATE @ 3:25 p.m. (Jan. 31):

Dayton police confirm Simone Myles has been found safe.

INITIAL REPORT:

A 12-year-old girl has been missing from her Jewelstone Drive home since Tuesday night and police are asking for the public’s help in locating her.

Simone Myles, 12, left her home in the 3000 block of Jewelstone around 6 p.m. Tuesday and does not have her phone with her, according to police.

“Simone is considered a critical missing due to her age,” police said.

The child was last seen walking toward Dixie Drive.

She was last seen wearing a turquoise Aeropostale hooded sweatshirt and turquoise pajama pants.  She’s described as being 5-foot-8 and weighing 159 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair, which she’s said to wear in four ponytails, police said.

If anyone sees Myles or knows her whereabouts is asked to contact police.
