Police ID woman who died Saturday in four-vehicle crash in Fairfield Twp.

A medic crew from the Fairfield Twp. Fire Department transported Gray to U.C. Health West Chester where the medical staff later pronounced her dead, according to Lanier.

The accident remains under investigation.

UPDATE @ 9:23 p.m. (Sept. 8):

One person died as a result of injuries sustained in a four-vehicle accident on Bypass Ohio 4 Saturday afternoon.

The driver of a 2013 Kia that struck two vehicles was transported to UC Health West Chester with life-threatening injuries. Medical staff later pronounced the driver as deceased, according to a press release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The identity of the driver has not yet been released.

Passengers from other vehicles were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the release.

The Kia was reportedly traveling north on Route 4 bypass around 2:44 p.m. when it went left of center and struck a 2018 Toyota Sienna that was traveling south.

The Kia spun into the path of a 2010 Chevy Suburban.

A fourth vehicle was involved in the accident and had minor damage from debris, according to the release.

The Fairfield Twp. Police Department and Butler County Serious Traffic Accident Crash Team responded to the scene.

The accident is still under investigation.

A tow truck is en route, and southbound lanes are still shut down.

Police could not confirm any further information.

Crews are on scene for a multiple-vehicle crash with possible entrapment in Fairfield Twp.

Reports state it is a three-car accident with one vehicle on its top on Bypass Ohio 4 and Tylersville Road, according to scanner traffic.

Initial reports say two people are injured and CPR is in progress for at least one person.

Bypass Ohio 4 southbound lanes are shut down from Tylersville to Hamilton-Mason roads, police say.
