Walmart announced in a release on Tuesday that it will be issuing a second cash bonus of $300 to full-time and $150 to part-time employees.
The first bonus was issued in early April for the same amounts, the release said.
In total, the company said that the bonus is over $390 million. The bonus will go to employees still working for the company on June 5, with the funds going out on June 25, according to the release.
President and CEO of Walmart U.S. John Furner said, “Walmart and Sam’s Club associates continue to do remarkable work, and it’s important we reward and appreciate them.”
President and CEO of Sam’s Club Kathryn McLay said, “We are so grateful to our associates for being there for customers and members during this difficult time, serving communities across the country.”
