$330K in marijuana seized from motor home in drug bust

The Ohio State Highway Patrol seized 120 pounds of hydroponic marijuana worth $330,000 during a traffic stop in Preble County and a man is facing felony charges.

Ronald Martin, 64, of California, was driving a motor home troopers pulled over Dec. 13 for a traffic violation on Interstate 70 a mile west of the U.S. 127 exit, according to a news release from the patrol.

Troopers suspected possible criminal activity involving Martin and requested a drug-sniffing K-9 be used during the traffic stop, which resulted in a search of the vehicle.

Felony drug charges were filed against Martin. If convicted, he could face up to nine years in prison and up to a $17,500 fine, according to officers.
