The county jail was operated from the facilities on Silver Street in Lebanon until 1975.
The buildings were decommissioned by the county in 2013 and have fallen into disrepair.

County staff is expected to pursue placing the oldest part of the jail and sheriff’s office on Silver Street. An addition added later is to be demolished.
