Warren County commissioner chairing Women’s Leadership Symposium

Warren County Commissioner Shannon Jones is chairing the United States portion of a Women's Leadership Exchange Symposium today at the County Commissioners Association of Ohio (CCAO) in Columbus, in partnership with EAF Berlin (European Academy for Women in Politics and Business).

The program focuses on women in politics and diverse perspectives as part of a year-long celebration of German-American friendship known as Wunderbar Together.

The session is from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the CCAO Board Meeting Room, 209 E. State St. in Columbus

The Women’s Leadership Symposium will feature women political leaders from around Ohio, women of political influence from Germany, and guest speakers from national research and educational institutions based in Washington, D.C.

The symposium and visit from the German delegation follow a November visit to Berlin, Germany by a delegation from Ohio. Jones led the U.S. delegation of elected and former local elected officials including Shelby County Commissioner and County Commissioners Association of Ohio Board President Julie Ehemann; Montgomery County Commissioner Debbie Lieberman and former Beavercreek Mayor Vicki Giambrone.
