Local Pizza Hut restaurants now delivering Cinnabon cinnamon rolls

New franchisee found 2 communities under-served and signed leases for new locations

Pizza Hut and Cinnabon have teamed up to, as they put it, make pizza night even sweeter, because, um, “that's just how they roll,” according to a joint release.

Pizza Hut restaurants are now exclusively offering “Crafted By Cinnabon Mini Rolls,” in the Dayton area and nationwide.

A spokeswoman for Hallrich Inc. — the Dayton-area franchisee for Pizza Hut which opened a new location in Beavercreek just yesterday, Oct. 9 and three weeks earlier opened a new Kettering location — confirmed to this news outlet Tuesday that the cinnamon rolls are available at all Dayton-area PIzza Hut restaurants.

Each order of Crafted by Cinnabon Mini Rolls consists of 10 miniature cinnamon rolls and costs $5.99. The rolls are now a permanent item on Pizza Hut’s menu, officials with both companies said.

"There's nothing better than polishing off pizza night with something sweet, so the new Cinnabon Mini Rolls are a perfect addition to our dessert portfolio," Marianne Radley, chief brand officer for Pizza Hut, U.S., said in a release. "Pizza Hut has a history of offering innovative menu items and craveable desserts that bring everyone around the table to enjoy, and few things can satisfy a sweet tooth like authentic Cinnabon cinnamon rolls."

"We're fortunate to have incredibly passionate fans that love the brand and are always craving more ways to enjoy Cinnabon products," Kerri Christian, vice president of marketing for Cinnabon parent company FOCUS Brands Global Channels, said in a release. "Our partnership with Pizza Hut is helping us deliver on that demand, and we couldn't be more excited to now be part of pizza night."

Hallrich Inc. and  Pizza Hut operate more than a dozen locations in and around Dayton, including its two newest carryout/delivery locations at 1195 N. Fairfield Road across from the Beaver-Vu Bowling Alley in Beavercreek and at 900 E. Dorothy Lane at Ackerman Boulevard in Kettering.

The Pizza Hut franchisee also has acknowledged it is eyeing a potential location at a former Family Video store on Wayne Avenue in Dayton, although no deal has been finalized.

Hallrich purchased the rights to operate Pizza Hut restaurants in the greater Dayton market from the Pizza Hut corporate company in June 2017. With the addition of Montgomery, Clark, Greene, Warren, Darke, Logan and Champaign counties, Hallrich now operates about two-thirds of the Pizza Hut restaurants in Ohio, the franchisee’s spokeswoman said.
