I-75 and Liberty Way lane closures to happen this week

New lane closures are scheduled this week in conjunction with the massive $24 million Liberty Way interchange fix on Interstate 75.

The Butler County Engineer’s Office reports there will be overnight lane closures on northbound and southbound I-75 between mile markers 23.5 and 26 along the construction site beginning at 10 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. Lane restrictions will be removed by 6 a.m. each morning.

The ramp from southbound I-75 to Liberty Way will also close from midnight to 6 a.m. on Saturday.

Drivers are encouraged to plan their nighttime routes and drive cautiously through the construction zone.

In the event of inclement weather, the overnight closures may continue through the weekend. Check the BCEO website, as well as Facebook and Twitter @bceonews, for possible date and status changes concerning this and other closures/advisories.
