Students at Hamilton City, Talawanda and Fairfield City schools are being served by the mobile dental office this school year.
“This service helps improve student attendance, student wellness and academic performance,” said Marc Bellisario, Primary Health Solutions, chief executive officer. “It also enables parents to access dental care for their children without having to take time away from work (often unpaid) for dental appointments.”
During the gala on Saturday, three physicians specializing in obstetrics and gynecology — Dr. Milton Troche, Dr. Heather Hilkowitz and Dr. Kelly Cole — were inducted into the Heart Healers Hall of Fame. Inductees are featured in a permanent exhibit at the Middletown Community Health Center.
The inaugural Ascension Awards — honoring women in leadership in health care — were also awarded during the event.
Honorees were Dr. Linda Post, senior medical director for UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Ohio; Carol Turner, president and chief executive officer of Atrium Medical Center; Jackie Phillips, health commissioner for city of Middletown; Dolores Lindsay, chief executive officer of The HealthCare Connection; and Dr. Robyn Chatman, medical director at HealthBridge.
