Deadly Cincinnati shooting: What we know now

A fatal mass shooting at Cincinnati's Fifth Third Bank headquarters at Fountain Square is under investigation.

Four people are dead, including the shooter, according to Cincinnati police.

Two other victims are in the hospital, according to police.

What happened?

Chief Eliot Isaac said the gunfire started around 9:10 this morning when the shooter came into the Fifth Third Bank headquarters’ loading dock at Fountain Square in downtown Cincinnati. He began shooting, then entered the lobby. Officers engaged the suspect, Isaac said, in an effort to prevent further victims. One of the officers killed the shooter, according to the city’s mayor.
