Police say Hunter is responsible for the shooting death of Jaylen Kinney on March 23 on Chestnut Street in Hamilton.
Kinney, of Trotwood, was shot on his 24th birthday at the end of Chestnut Street and west Front Street.
A $5,000 reward was offered by police for information leading to the conviction of the person responsible.
Hunter has a previous conviction of felonious assault from 2010, according to police.
Hamilton police have an indictment in for murder and having weapons under disability for Hunter.
