UPDATE: Driver transported to hospital after car flips on its top on Butler Warren Road

UPDATE @ 4:03 p.m.

A vehicle trying to avoid rear-ending another flipped and ended up on its top on Butler-Warren Road, and its driver was transported to a local hospital, a Butler County Sheriff’s deputy said.

Two vehicles were traveling south on Butler-Warren. A Chevy Malibu, which was behind a Honda Accord, swerved to avoid hitting the Accord. It flipped on its top after clipping the Accord’s driver’s side tire, said Deputy Steve Poff.

The driver of the Accord was not injured.

The crash slowed traffic in the area, and police are cleaning up the scene.

INITIAL REPORT, 3:42 p.m.

A crash reported at the intersection of Butler-Warren and Bethany roads in Butler  and Warren counties has significantly slowed traffic in that area.

Crews were dispatched to the intersection at about 3:25 p.m. today on the report of an injury crash. How many vehicles were involved and the extent of any possible injures was not immediately available.

We have a crew on the way to the scene and will update this story we learn more.
