HOT TICKET
The Ohio Players and The O'Jays: These two bands will play the Rose Music Center on June 28. The Ohio Players, creators of such hits as "Love Rollercoaster," "Skin Tight" and "Fire," became a household name in mid-1970s with three consecutive platinum-selling albums (Skin Tight, Fire, Honey). The band also had two certified Gold albums in the United States with Pain (1972) and Contradiction (1976). The Ohio Players have also been among the most covered and sampled groups from rap artists like Snoop Dogg and Puff Daddy to rock acts like Sound Garden and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Originally hailing from Canton, The O'Jays had seven Top 20 singles throughout the 70s, including "Back Stabbers," "Love Train" and "For the Love of Money." Tickets go on sale Friday, April 7 at 7 a.m. from Ticketmaster or from Rose Music Center's website or box office at 1-800-745-3000 and range in cost from $23.50-$71.
