Construction begins on new apartments in Centerville

New “upscale” apartments are coming to the Cross Pointe Shopping Center in Centerville.

Construction began on Allure, an apartment community located adjacent to the Cross Pointe Shopping Center at 650 Arden Way. Allure is a joint venture between Beavercreek-based Mills Development and Cincinnati-based Hills Properties.

The 312-unit apartment complex is expected to open in late 2018. Pre-leasing for apartments will begin in the spring. Apartments will have stainless appliances, wood grain flooring, private or dual private suite floor plans with an additional half bath for guests.

“Allure will feature an outstanding amenity package which includes a two-story fitness center with yoga space, executive conference room, resident retreat with cyber café, as well as extensive outdoor living spaces, a signature salt-water pool, bark park and bocce ball,” a statement said.

Mills Development purchased the 14.5-acre property in 2014 for $1.7 million after it had been undeveloped and vacant for seven years. The project was approved by Centerville city council by a 5-1 vote in March.
